Hydraulic jacks - Bicelli Hydraulics
A short glossary on technology in hydraulic cylinders
The term hydraulic jack
often refers to the hydraulic cylinder
or hydraulic linear actuator even though the latter is just a part of the former.
As a matter of fact, strictly speaking, hydraulic jacks are lifting devices
which are moved by oil forced into a hydraulic cylinder by a pump plunge.
The hydraulic cylinder is thus a sub-system of the hydraulic jack
, as well as it is part of several other systems for different applications.
